As part of BuzzFeed’s BringMe series, I directed and edited a fast-paced social video spotlighting Dig This Las Vegas, the heavy-equipment playground where anyone can drive real bulldozers and excavators. To capture the adrenaline and joy of the experience, I rigged multiple GoPros to helmets and machinery, delivering immersive POV shots and dynamic action footage that felt as powerful as the machines themselves. The edit followed BringMe’s signature format: snappy, energetic, and built for Facebook’s scroll-stopping environment.
The result was a wildly engaging video that earned over half a million organic views on Facebook, with strong engagement from viewers thrilled by the novelty of operating construction equipment for fun. The piece not only amplified Dig This’s brand as a one-of-a-kind Vegas attraction, but also demonstrated how clever rigging, visual storytelling, and format-savvy editing can turn a niche experience into viral social content.
